Caring Medical and Rehabilitation Services
715 Lake Street Suite 600 Oak Park IL, 60301
Caring Medical & Rehabilitation Services,
S.C. (CMRS) is a natural medical clinic
located in Oak Park, Illinois, a nearby suburb of Chicago.
Established in 1991 by
Ross Hauser, M.D., and
Marion Hauser, M.S.,R.D. Caring Medical has been fortunate to have been able to
help patients from the Chicagoland area, from all over the United States, and
indeed the world.
Caring Medical offers second opinion on cases
that appears to have plateaued
We received the following email recently from a patient in Oklahoma, "I have
received 3 Prolotherapy treatments from a local physician for my sacroiliac
joint. The first treatment reduced my pain about 50%. The 2nd and 3rd treatments
gave me marginal improvement, but it seems like I have plateaued in my progress.
I would like to make an appointment to become 100% better. Since I live far
away, I would like it if I could receive the Prolotherapy on my first visit."
At Caring Medical, we specialize in treating chronic pain and sports injuries,
utilizing the comprehensive Hackett-Hemwall Prolotherapy technique. In
conjunction with Prolotherapy, we founded The Hauser Diet® Natural Medicine
Program to maximize wellness and healing, and for those desiring to achieve
optimal weight and energy. Dr. Hauser will also address your nutritional needs,
as well as your ability to heal, making sure that your body possesses the
building blocks in order to optimize healing.
Dr. Hauser, being an avid athlete himself - a five-time Ironman finisher,
cyclist, and ultramarathoner, is also able to fully address the exercise and
training needs of our athlete patients, as well as the patient in chronic pain,
having suffered with many pain conditions himself over the years. He prescribes
exercise regimes that will help strengthen the weakened area, as well as provide
you with a program to progress you back into your sport/activity as quickly as
possible.
If you feel like you may not be getting better as quickly as expected, we'd be
happy to see you and give you a second opinion. The above emailer became a
patient and was interestingly diagnosed with benign congenital hypermobility
(naturally loose tendons and ligaments), worsened from years of yoga and
gymnastics. She was "faithfully" stretching and doing yoga, but in reality, she
needed to be doing strength training in order to build muscle to make her
stronger and tighter. Dr. Hauser also wanted her to strengthen her weak side by
using a bosu ball, starting with standing on it to strengthen the weak hip/leg.
In addition to that, she not only needed her SI treated with Prolotherapy, but
also her hip and her entire low back, utilizing a stronger
Prolotherapy solution
due to the congenital hypermobility syndrome. Dr. Hauser also recommended that
she start taking supplements to help repair and accelerate the healing process.

Why Come To
Caring Medical? Because of Our Doctors!
Patients come because our doctors are very skilled in treating chronic pain and immune system problems
without reliance on pharmaceuticals or invasive techniques.
Most of
the patients they see at the first visit have a long history of chronic pain and
medical problems. In many cases, our patients have seen many doctors in seeking answers to their
medical problems.
Our doctors’ philosophy is not to suppress symptoms with medications, but
rather, to seek out the root cause of a patient's complaints and seek a
permanent solution. They do this by first listening to the patient and asking
questions about their medical history. While sometimes pharmaceuticals are needed, our doctors’ long-term goals are to
wean the patient off their use. This includes narcotic
pain medications, anti-inflammatories,
steroidal medications, and others. Read more about our Ross Hauser, M.D.
Prolotherapy A Surgical Alternative to
Chronic Joint and Back Pain
"When I began seeing pain patients during my
residency training program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, I
thought they were a very difficult group of people to treat. They often
appeared depressed, and traditional approaches to pain management did not
seem to help. Then I said to myself, 'How would I feel if I had pain day
after day and no one could find a cure?' The families of many who suffer
from pain often begin doubting the reality of their loved ones’ pain.
In April 1992, I contacted Prolotherapy pioneer Dr.
Gustav Hemwall and he
allowed me to observe him in his clinic. During the next few months, I spent
a considerable amount of time in Dr. Hemwall’s office. People traveled from
all over the world to be treated by this 84-year-old man.
To think that
someone would travel from places like England, Mexico, Florida, and
California to receive pain management was incredible. Three months later, I
began utilizing Prolotherapy in my medical practice as a treatment for
chronic pain." Ross Hauser, M.D.
Prolotherapy by experts Physicians should use and apply the
technique of Prolotherapy only after they have received extensive training
and demonstrated the ability to safely administer the treatment.
Ross Hauser, M.D. has been practicing
Prolotherapy for over 14 years. He trained directly under and assumed the
practice of one of the leading figures in Prolotherapy Gustav Hemwall, M.D.,
who himself treated 10,000 patients over a four decade career.
Dr. Hauser has now himself taught and trained
over 100 physicians in the technique.
Working with difficult cases Some Prolotherapy doctors will not offer
treatment to areas of the spine or the groin area. Caring Medical is one
among the few clinics that will treat all areas of the body with
Prolotherapy.
We also work with physicians who send their patients to Caring Medical to
determine why Prolotherapy was not as successful as possible or even failed.
In our experience and those of researchers, up to 85% of people can be
helped by Prolotherapy if Prolotherapy is administered and followed up
properly, offering the patient a chance at resolving chronic joint and back
pain without the need for surgery.
Patients from all over the United States and
the World! We have been blessed to treat
patients from all over the country and the world. Most patients fly in the
morning and are home by dinner!

There is no known cure
for arthritis. Prolotherapy
and nutritional supplements can help alleviate, reverse, or end
arthritic pain by treating an underlying cause that contributes to
degenerative disease, ligament laxity. Strengthening ligaments and other
connective tissue can help prevent bone on bone arthritis from
developing.
