Prolotherapy and
Chronic Stress
Take a picture of someone without pain, then
give them chronic pain and take a picture of them 4 years later, still with the
pain. Guess what you see? They looked like they aged at least 10 years in those
four years!
Any kind of a stressor, whether it is a job, money, chronic pain, bad marriage, or kids
in trouble it is going to prematurely age the person. The primary mechanism most
believe is because stress causes the physiology of the body to become toxic. The
body goes into a decay mode instead of a healing and repair mode. It is common
in the office (Caring Medical) for me to tell a client “John we can help your
body handle the stress you’re under but until the actual cause of the stress is
removed you are not going to feel great.”
Natural Medicine always tries to get at the root cause of the problem. For
people in chronic pain we believe the underlying cause in the vast majority
falls into one of these categories:
1. Ligament laxity/sprain
2.
tendon laxity/strain
3. Degeneration of Joint
4.
Disc degeneration
5. Weakness in a specific connective tissue
All of the above are typically helped with
Prolotherapy.
Prolotherapy would
stimulate the body to repair the painful area. In the vast majority of the cases
Prolotherapy can help the person get completely out of pain. If they then take
care of their bodies by getting plenty of rest, eating correctly (according to
their
Diet Type), taking nutrients and supplements, have great relationships
(the purpose of life) and when they don’t feel good get it checked out and
corrected, there is a good chance they will stay healthy. A healthy body is a
youthful body. For this reason one could say for those in chronic pain, Prolotherapy is best anti-aging therapy.
